Penlan Bach

Welcome to Penlan Bach, our award winning self catering ‘home from home’ on the banks of the River Usk, midway between the Brecon Beacons and the Black Mountains.

A purpose built first floor apartment with own private entrance, Penlan Bach sleeps four in a cosy, spacious holiday home with extensive views of the Usk Valley.

On the edge of the village of Llangynidr, and alongside the 16th century Llangynidr bridge, guests enjoy a quiet location without being remote.

Penlan Bach has its own private entrance hall leading directly from the car parking area, and the stairs have a stair lift. The large kitchen diner is well equipped for four, with an electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer and automatic washer. There is ample storage space and work surfaces, and plenty of tableware, glassware and linen. The door from the kitchen leads out onto a large balcony and stairs leading down to the garden. The balcony benefits from morning and late afternoon sun and makes a perfect place for a late breakfast or early evening drink.

Both bedrooms at Penlan Bach have twin beds with lots of comfy pillows and feather duvets. There is ample drawer and cupboard space, and each room has a clock radio and hairdryer. There is an ensuite shower room in one of the rooms.

The bathroom has a bath with overhead shower and lots of towels, and there is a separate lavatory.

The large cosy sitting room, with extensive views down the Usk Valley to the Sugar Loaf Mountain, has a comfortable three piece suite and an LCD television. The book case is full of books and games, as well as O.S. maps and local tourism information. A radio cassette player with cassettes, a CD player with CDs and a DVD player and DVDs are also provided. We will have Internet acsess by April 2010.
