The Old Pandy Inn & Black mountain Lodge
Traditional country pub with Group Accommodation on-site
The Old Pandy Inn and black mountain lodge in Pandy is a popular overnight stop for walkers doing the Offas Dyke path and exploring the mountains, and so youll often find the bunkhouse filled with interesting company and lots of hiking boots.

A lively crowd of locals and visitors can always be found in the pub/restaurant, which is literally just a few steps away. The owners enthusiasm seems to spread through the whole place, and I highly recommend staying for a few pints of the excellent cask ale and a good chat.

The hostel accommodation feels very homely, with lots of sofas and large fireplaces. The exposed timber framing and stone walls give it the atmosphere of a medieval hall, but dont worry theres a good heating system and beds are a cut above typical bunkhouse standards.
The lodge itself is an attractive red stone building, formerly a fulling mill (wool), which was renovated to sleep 25 people. Across the courtyard a 17th century country inn houses the pub, restaurant and B&B accommodation.
