Activities in the Brecon Beacons

The Brecon Beacons can offer activities for the first time 'have a go' visitor as well as the hard-core enthusiast!

Rivers and lakes, hills and mountains, rock faces, either real or man made, as well as a hugely diverse caving system all offer opportunities to do something in the outdoors. The cycling routes & mountain bike trails developed by the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority give routes to suit all abilities and fitness!

For those interested in fishing the chances are high for catching grayling & brown trout, as well as salmon on the Rivers Usk & Wye. Local reservoirs, lakes and even the canal also offer you scenic spots to get out your fishing rod.

Golf is available on eight courses throughout the National Park and as with everything else you will be playing in superb locations.

If actually what you really want to do is spoil yourself then check out our local spas and holistic centers.
