Guiding:
South Wales has some superb ‘out there’ rides with spectacular scenery. Our knowledge and experience means we can take you to some of the more remote trails, which will give you some fantastic riding - challenging climbs, technical descents and great single track.
If the open hills are not for you then the great trails at Afan Forest Park, Glyncorrwg and Brechfa are all within a 45-minute drive. The Gower peninsular is also just a short distance away with fun rides for all abilities.
Skills courses:
We offer both half day and full day courses for various abilities - for riders new to the sport and for those riders who want to push their boundaries a little. We will teach you the skills that will give you the confidence to ride in a more controlled and relaxed manner.
Mountain Biking is all about having ‘fun’. With this in mind, our courses are held in the woods adjacent to the house. Here you will encounter natural obstacles and learn the skills to tackle them, from body dynamics to front wheel lifts.
A full day comprises of a morning session starting with the importance of correct bike set up, then going on to learning the skills that are useful out on the trail. A break for lunch (provided) back at the house; followed by a ride in the afternoon, putting together all the skills learnt in the morning session. We’ll also show you some useful emergency trailside repairs.
Our guides are fully qualified holding either the Mountain Bike Leader award or the Trail Cycle Leader Award. They are members of the British Cycle union and hold current First Aid Certificates.
Prices:
Individuals: £50 per day.
2 people: £60.
3 people: £75.
Up to 4 people: £95.
Larger groups – please contact us for a price.
Price for a full day includes tea/coffee on arrival, packed lunch, tea/coffee and cakes on return.
