Wye Valley Canoes
We are situated on the banks of the River Wye just a few yards from Glasbury Bridge
At Wye Valley Canoes you can hire Canadian canoes, double kayaks or single kayaks and paddle off downstream to Hay-on-Wye which is 5 miles and will take you 2 hours, or to the Boat Inn at Whitney which is approx 10 miles and will take you 4 hours.
For the more adventurous try camping or B&B'ing it down the Wye. When you reach your destination you telephone us and we come and collect you in our minibus and return you to your car in Glasbury.
You can hire -

Canadian canoes are ideal for two adults and a small child.

Whether you are off for a few hours or a few days we provide all the equipment you will need - boat, paddle, buoyancy aid, waterproof barrels to store your kit and a map. This equipment and recovery by minibus from wherever you get to is included in the hire charge. We give you a safety talk before you set out but no previous experience is necessary in the canoes or the double kayaks. Previous experience preferred for kayaking.
COURSES - a great base for those organising canoe or water based activities, we have hosted everything from Health and Safety and First Aid Courses to Writers Workshops, Tourism Lectures and River Rescue Courses and Canoe Clubs.

5 Mile trip £17.50 per person
Paddle 5 miles downstream to the town of Hay-on-Wye, depending on water levels the trip will take 2-3hrs.
- Morning Session starts from 9.00am-10.00am (finish by 1.00pm)
- Afternoon 2.00pm-3.00pm (finish by 6.00pm)
10 Mile Trip £20.00 per person
This will take you 10 miles downstream passing Hay-on-Wye, with the pickup at the Boat Inn Whitney. Approx 4-5 hours.
- Start times 9.00am-11.00am (finish by 6.00pm)
Camping Trip £25.00 per person per day.
Includes pick up.
