Cookery Courses

@ The Hill

Set in four acres of countryside and overlooking the town of Abergavenny and the Blorenge Mountain, The Hill is a delightful place for a weekend activity break.

The Hill offers a range of day, weekend and week-long breaks covering a variety of subjects, there is something to suit everyone.

If you dream of whipping up the perfect Italian meal for friends and family but have no idea where to start, let cookery experts Franco Taruschio and Lindy Wildsmith be your guides.

Franco is an acclaimed chef and the former owner of The Walnut Tree restaurant, while Lindy is a writer and expert in regional Italian cookery, so it's no wonder that their Cooking on The Hill courses have proved a huge hit.

Sign up for one of our courses and you will come away with a menu of authentic Italian recipes and know-how, confidence and enthusiasm to cook them at home.

You will cook with the very best ingredients, using locally sourced meat, game and vegetables wherever possible, and the skills you learn will depend on the day's theme. You might find yourself learning to make fresh pasta from scratch, fillet fish, joint poultry or even how to prepare special cuts of meat.
