The Brecon Beacons National Park - Croeso i'r Bannau Brycheiniog!

Rally Evolution

@ City of Newport Office

British rallying returns home to Wales in 2010! Starting and finishing in Newport (Gwent) which has excellent routes and makes this city and ideal starting location. However – be prepared this is in no way ‘A Wales Rally GB’ we cover the whole of Wales.

Ahead of you will be a route of some 1300 miles which includes over 240 selectif miles of competitive motoring—no other event in the UK can offer such value for money! With venues such as Epynt, Crychan, Esgair Dafydd, Brechfa, Clogaenog and the Great Orme to mention but a few. By ENTERING you will be competing for the crown of champions on this the ‘Toughest event in Europe!’ Road sections will take you across some of the most famous rallying routes of 'Motoring News Days' which include Abergwesyn and the Elan Valley.

WERA rallies often have a sting in the tail and The Rally Evolution is no different. In 2007 the leader board changed no less than four times on the last day with the eventual winner crowned on the penultimate Selectif! In 2006 it was even closer—the final Selectif!

When your foot comes off the accelerator at the end of each day you can relax a little and discuss your tales of ‘daring do's’ with your fellow competitors over a coffee or two! Overnight halts will be at the Hilton (Newport), The Park Lodge, (Aberystwyth,) and not forgetting the nicely refurbished Metropole Hotel (Llandrindod Wells) for two nights before returning to Newport for the final presentation evening. We look forward to seeing you in November.
