If you’re looking for something special to tickle your palate come along to Brecon....
The town is to host the Euphoric European Market on Saturday 28th June & Sunday 29th June. The event will take place throughout the town from 9.00a.m. until 5.00p.m. each day.
Amongst the stalls will be European Food and Drink provided by the ‘Flavours of Europe’. This is a travelling good food market, with a wide range of products, all of excellent quality.
This market will include scrumptious German Bratwurst Sausage and delicious French Pancakes ready to go. Appetising Arabian Cakes and Pastries, nutritious nuts from the Mediterranean, spicy Sausages from France, tempting Turkish Delight and tasty tarts of apricot and rhubarb from Brittany.
There will be a fine range of delicious cheeses from all over France including Altesse from the Vosges, Smoked Brezain from Savoy, Camembert from Normandy, and Le Montcoyal from the Pyrenees. Alternatively there will be an appetising selection of dried fruits including not only dates, figs and pineapples, but also blueberries, raspberries and cranberries.
From the Mediterranean there will be Greek Olives, Feta Cheese, sun-dried Tomatoes and stuffed Vine Leaves, Portuguese Tapas and Spanish Paella.
There will also be a range of specialist products including fine teas form around the world, Polish bread, a superb selection of oils and vinegars and some refreshing fruit ciders.
Visitors to the market can expect to also be entertained by the local theatre group The Westenders who will be performing on the streets along with strolling poets, belly dancers and more…..
Combined with the opportunity of browsing the galleries and shops of the charming town of Brecon you are a guaranteed a great day out!!
Goods range from the staple to the unusual all attaining a level of excellence for both quality and presentation. Although, the market is not specifically designed to educate, there is certainly an element of discovery to be found with the variety of cultural backgrounds reflected in both the market team members and the products.
