Canoeing
The Brecon Beacons National Park offers a wealth of canoeing experiences for both the beginner and extreme sports fanatic.
The River Wye is the river most regularly paddled and it is possible to book sessions with various activity providers for tuition and guidance as well as to hire canoes and safety equipment at various points along the river.
The Usk can be accessed in the winter months with a permit for those who have more experience. The Brecon & Monmouth Canal, Llangorse Lake & Pontsticill Reservoir are also all suitable for canoeing & training.
2011 saw the launch of the Beacons Water Trail which enables canoe touring on the River Usk and on the Brecon and Monmouth Canal - see website link
