Brynamman & The Amman Valley
Brynaman & The Amman Valley
The far south west of the Brecon Beacons National Park is one where wilderness takes on a new meaning the twin lakes Lwyn y Fan Fawr & Lyn y Fan Fach are steeped in the legend of the lady of the lake. The views from The Black Mountain give a hint of the coast in the distance and the magnificent Cerrig Cennen tells the story of the struggles the Welsh have had throughout history. On the southern boundary the impact of the coal mining industry can clearly be seen. The Heart of Wales Railway line stops here at the Pantyffynnon station.
